      2. Your teacher reserves the right to discontinue a lesson if – in their opinion – a student is too young or unfit or not well enough to sing. In these cases a teacher may agree a reduced lesson fee or rebooking option by discretion.

      3. Your teacher may also recommend you see a Vocal Health Professional (such as a GP, ENT or Speech Therapist) if they have serious concerns about the health of your voice. This however is merely advice and you should make this assessment yourself and/or with a trained health professional.

      4. Teachers at TSR make it clear they are not and never claim to be Vocal Health Medical Professionals and impart their vocal health knowledge based on their own studies of singing technique over many years. No teacher at The Singing Room is or claims to be qualified to diagnose or rehabilitate students with serious vocal concerns. If this is the case, please consult with a trusted medical professional.

You are personally responsible for telling your teacher if you experience any pain or discomfort during your lessons.

    4. Students must understand that there is an increased risk of injury or vocal damage in singing or performing any of the given exercises while ill or recovering from illness, particularly if such illness is of the vocal tract and airways. Partaking in lessons and/or using the voice outside the lessons should be done at your own risk and assessing whether you are healthy enough to do so.
